The Dudley Council run site in Wordsley has undergone a £1.5 million restoration over the last 12 months, with partial closures while essential but sensitive work has been carried out.

Councillor Hilary Bills, Mayor of Dudley, said: "It was an honour to officially re-open the Cone on Saturday, and the turnout reflects how important it is as an attraction to people in the borough.

"The programme of works will ensure this precious site is protected and conserved for future generations to enjoy."
